Energetic. If there’s one word to describe this year’s World of Coffee Athens, it was an energetic feeling throughout the entire show. For the European coffee community, it was a chance to reconnect with the community and get inspired by the motivating performances at the various world coffee championships at the event. The Ally team enjoyed time at our booth to showcase the best of what we have to offer and enjoyed countless moments smiling and laughing with clients and partners from all over the world.
The team in attendance ranged from the sales and marketing teams to logistics and finance, which gave us an opportunity to connect with the community in all areas of our relationships. Between showcasing what we have on offer through Ratio Six brewers and various cuppings to showcasing roaster clients from all over Europe, our booth was packed with beautiful coffee and amazing company.
Each day we were delighted to share coffees that we have on spot offer from Colombia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Brazil, and Ethiopia. What made it even more special was to have a handful of producing partners in attendance such as Rodrigo Sanchez and Claudia Samboni from Colombia, Diego Baraona from El Salvador, and Hester Westerveld from Ethiopia.
This year's World of Coffee hosted multiple World Coffee Championships, and we're proud to be the official origin trip sponsor of the World Barista and World Brewers Cup Championships. It is with great pleasure that we will welcome Boram Um of Brazil, 2023 World Barista Champion, and Carlos Medina of Chile, 2023 World Brewers Cup Champion, on a trip to Origin! This year’s competition was incredibly exciting and filled with innovation, and we would like to congratulate all the competitors on a job well-done.
While this year’s WOC has come to an end, it only makes us more excited to continue sharing more memories with the community in the future!
