This blend brings together coffees from a variety of smallholder producers from across Colombia’s Huila Department. Huila occupies the Central and Eastern ranges of the Colombian Andes, which are separated in the Department by the Magdalena River. Its geography provides a variety of climatic conditions and elevations, contributing to the range of microclimates that producers enjoy on their farms. Thanks to the terroir created by these microclimates and the nitrogen-rich soil across the coffee growing areas of the Department, coffees from Huila have an earned reputation for quality and consistency.
This coffee is sourced and processed with our partners Aromas del Sur in Pitalito, Huila, where they have a state of the art dry mill that sorts, cleans, and selects coffee prior to preparing it for shipment. Colombia Huila Blend represents the work of many people from across Huila who were involved in the cultivation, harvest, processing, and logistics of producing this coffee.
